The Tampa Rundown
Take a look at the athletic events happening this week.
ICYMI: In Case You Missed It, last week women's basketball went 1-1 to start SSC play. The team defeated the Eckerd Tritons on Tuesday with a final score of 48-44 before falling to the Nova Southeastern Sharks on Sunday, 72-66. The men's basketball team went 0-2 to start conference competition. They fell to Eckerd 65-49 and then were defeated by Nova Southeastern 92-69. Men's and women's swimming competed in the Panther Invitational where each team took third place. Finally, Tampa volleyball finished their final week of SSC play with a perfect record of 3-0. On Tuesday, the ladies took down the Tritons in five sets, before taking the road where they defeated the Barry Buccaneers three sets to one. The team then finished the regular season with a clean sweep over Nova Southeastern. Tampa Volleyball expects to be named to its 22nd consecutive NCAA Tournament. This Week's Events:
Men's Basketball:
Tampa is set to travel to St. Petersburg, Fla. on Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th. The team will compete against Pittsburg State and Keiser, with both games slated to start at 5:30 p.m.
Women's Basketball:
The women's basketball team is set to host Nyack on Friday the 24th and Anderson on Saturday the 25th. Both games are scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
