Nico Gamio Receives Male Scholar-Athlete Award
Tampa, Fla. - University of Tampa men's soccer player Nico Gamio has been awarded 2020-21 Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Gamio, a Melo, Uruguay native is an international business and management major. Nico has earned a 4.0 GPA in the five semesters at UT, making the Dean's List four times.
"An incredible person on and off the field. Nico is very disciplined and one of the hardest workers that we have," says head coach Adrian Bush. "He's a fantastic representative of our soccer program and UT athletics."
Nico is a two-time member of the SSC Commissioners Honor Roll and UT All-Academic Team.
The awards for the 2020-21 season will be announced throughout the week on TampaSpartans.com, as well as our social media platforms (@TampaSpartans). Other awards include the Iron Spartans Award and the Melissa Vanderhall Spartan Cape Award.
