Bio

Jessica Bergin is in her third year as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Tampa after previously working as an intern athletic trainer at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. At ERAU, Bergin worked as the certified athletic trainer primarily for women’s basketball and softball, while also assisting with men’s and women’s cross country. At UT she is covering volleyball and JV Men’s lacrosse, as well as serving as a preceptor in the UT athletic training education program. 

Bergin is a 2017 graduate of Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training and a minor in Nutrition.  As a student athletic trainer, she worked with women’s soccer, volleyball, basketball, men’s lacrosse, and baseball. Bergin is pursuing her Masters of Science in Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at UT.

While at Piedmont, Bergin was a member of the Women’s Lacrosse team. She helped lead the Lions to the USA South Conference Championship game all four years and was also named 4x USA South Academic All-Conference.

Bergin is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. She is also a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, certified through the American Red Cross for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, and has her Reflexive Performance Reset Level 1 certification.
