Bio

Rob Boutote began working as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at UT in the fall of 2014. He previously worked with the 2014 NCAA Division II national championship volleyball team as well as the 2022 NCAA Division II national championship men’s lacrosse team. As of 2023, he is responsible for providing medical coverage for the women’s lacrosse team. Boutote serves as the insurance coordinator on the sports medicine staff. In addition to his responsibilities in the athletic training clinic, he has served as both a preceptor and an instructor in the UT athletic training education program.

Boutote came to Tampa from William Paterson University of New Jersey, where he was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer from 2012-14. He served as the ATC for volleyball and softball, while also assisting with football and basketball.

He has also held a position with Premier Sports Medicine as an ATC since 2021, providing part-time coverage for various events and competitions throughout the state of Florida.

A 2012 graduate from the College of Charleston, Boutote earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Athletic Training and Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. Boutote then completed his Master of Science from William Paterson University in 2014, completing the degree with an Exercise Science and Sports Studies major with a concentration in Exercise Physiology.

Boutote is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. He is also a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and is certified through the American Red Cross for Basic Life Support for Professional Rescuers.

Rob currently resides in St. Petersburg, Florida.
