Bio

Dean Kelley was a 1987 third-team All-American and member of the NCAA II World Series all-tournament team. He was also awarded in 1986 and 1987 as first-team all-South Region and was honored as a three-time all-SSC selection. A four-year letterwinner, Kelley was selected in the 10th round of MLB Draft in 1987 by the New York Yankees, where he advanced to Double A. Among single-season UT leaders, he ranks third with 255 at bats in 1986 and sixth with 22 doubles in 1987. In UT career records, he ranks fourth with a .888 stolen base percentage, ninth with 216 games played, fifth with 225 runs, sixth with 276 hits, third with 16 triples, seventh with 425 total bases, sixth with 115 walks and fifth with 79 stolen bases.
