Bio

Played quarterback for the Spartans. He accumulated 5,803 yards of total offense, rushing for 3,299. He is the Universities all-time leading rusher. In 1973 and 74, he was named All-South quarterback. Top Florida player in 1974. Earned Honorable Mention All-American in 1974. In 1974, he finished 12th for the Heisman. 1972 Tangerine Bowl Outstanding Player. Solomon ended up switching positions in the NFL, becoming a wide receiver. He was drafted in the second round, 36th overall by the Miami Dolphins in 1975. He ended his NFL career with 371 receptions, 5,846 receiving yards, 15.8 yards per catch, and 48 receiving touchdowns. He was a two-time Super Bowl champion and a First-Team All-Conference selection in 1980
