Sandy Spartans End Diggin' Duals 2-2

ATLANTA, Ga. – Ending the weekend 2-2 at the Georgia State Diggin' Duals in Atlanta, Georgia, the University of Tampa Spartans are now 10-9 on the season. 

On Friday, the sandy Spartans were able to defeat both the University of North Carolina-Wilmington and the University of Alabama-Birmingham by a final score of 3-2. Then on Saturday, the Spartans fell in both matches. In their first, the Spartans lost 4-1 to the College of Charleston. The match could have gone either way as the ones and fives played the Cougars extremely close. However, in the end, only the threes pair of Valerie Rosequist and Lexi Thompson were able to get the win for the Spartans. Then against the No. 19 ranked Georgia State Panthers, UT was swept. Once again, the ones and threes pair for the Spartans player the Panthers tight, both losing in three sets.
