Charlie Manning Pitches Scoreless Inning in MLB Debut

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Former Spartan pitcher Charlie Manning made his major league debut tonight for the Washington Nationals, entering the game in the ninth inning with his team trailing the Milwaukee Brewers 5-2. The Winter Haven native threw a scoreless inning, allowing a one-out single by Gabe Kapler before striking out Jason Kendall and Rickie Weeks to end the inning.
