UT Pitcher Preston Packrall Earns SSC Weekly Award

ORLANDO, Fla. - Coming off a 3-1 week for the top-ranked University of Tampa baseball team, relief pitcher Preston Packrall was tabbed the Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Packrall, a sophomore from Tampa, Fla., tossed 5.1 scoreless innings in relief to pick up three saves in the No. 8 Spartans' wins over Florida Memorial and Rollins.

He did not put a single runner on base in 1.1 innings of a 6-4 win over FMU.

In a 9-7 conference win at Rollins, he held the Tars to three hits with no walks over two innings. Packrall struck out three in the appearance.

He closed the week without permitting a base runner in one inning of a 7-5 victory over the Tars. He struck out one in the frame.
