No. 4 Spartans Win in a Nail Biter against Conference Foe

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Spartans find a way to win against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish.

Records: No. 4 Tampa (8-2, 1-0 SSC), Palm Beach Atlantic (6-3, 0-1 SSC)

All-Time Series: The Spartans have now won 10 in a row against the Sailfish.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Sailfish led off the bottom of the third with a hit to left where Llopiz reached on an error, and advanced to third. A single by Texel scored Llopiz | 1-0 Sailfish.
- E.J. Cumbo scored E.J. Doskow with a double to left field that tied the ball game in the fourth | 1-1 Tied.
- Cumbo led off the ninth with a walk. Danny Gutcher singled, to make it second and first with only one out. Jordan Lala reached first, and made it bases loaded with a drag bunt to first. Drew Ehrhard walked with the bases loaded to give the Spartans a one-run lead | 2-1 Spartans.
- Braydon Nelson went back out for his second inning of work and closed out the victory for the Spartans.
