Eric Snow To Lead Spartans Into Final Day Of St. John’s Invitational
FORT PIERCE, Fla. - University of Tampa golfer Eric Snow continues to lead the Spartans as it enters the final day of competition in fifth place at the Treasure Coast Men's Classic, which is hosted by St. John's University.
After an opening round 290 on Monday, UT moved up two spots with a 294 in Tuesday's round for a total of 584 (+16). Saint Leo University (566) is the overall leader, followed by Laval University (569), Western Illinois University (571) and Embry-Riddle (583).
Among the teams in the field that trail the Spartans are notable NCAA Division I schools Boston College, St. John's, Bethune-Cookman, St. Bonaventure and Florida A&M.
After an opening round 67, Snow shot a 74 on Tuesday to remain in the top-10 at eighth overall. The senior from Saratoga Springs, N.Y., entered the second round as the leader among the 62 individuals. Through two rounds, he sits at 141 (-1).
Nicolas Jutigny led Tampa with a second round 70 following a 74 in the opening round. He is 15th overall with a 144 (+2). Kevin Genuardi (147), Kris Shane (148) and Taylor Noel (150) round out the Spartan top five.
Kyle Roy (152) and Quin Trigg (158) are also competing for UT. The Spartans will play the final round on Wednesday.
