Fall Season Ends With Another Top-Five Finish for Spartans

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf team notched its third straight top-five finish as it was fifth overall at the Warner University Beyond The Roar Invitational.

 

The two-round event was played at The Country Club of Winter Haven. The Spartans totaled 636, with rounds of 323 and 313. The University of Northwood and Webber International University shared the team title with a 609.

 

Tampa's lineup included Jason Steele (159), Justin Elwell (159), Zach Schuster (160), Gray Barnes (160) and Danny Syring (161). Steve Embree also participated as an individual, finishing 10th overall with a 156.

 

Steele had the best round for UT, clubbing a 77 in Sunday's round.
