Tampa Men's Golf Wraps Up USCB Invite
For the second time in as many tournaments, Danny Syring was UT's top performer.
INNISBROOK, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's golf team finished 12th overall at the University of South Carolina-Beaufort Invitational.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:
UT Finish: 12th, 927 strokes (312-307-308)
Team Champion: Oklahoma City College, 881 strokes

TOP SPARTAN PERFORMERS:
• Danny Syring | 26th overall, 228
• Jacques Celestino | 46th overall, 233
• Myles Wharram | 50th overall, 235
• Eddie Doyle | 57th overall, 237
• Gray Barnes | 62nd overall, 239
OTHER NOTABLES:
• Justin Elwell also represented UT as an individual. He finished 57th with a 237.
• Syring's third round 73 went down as the top round for all Spartans.
• This marks the second consecutive tournament where Syring has been UT's top performer. He also finished first on the team at the Saint Leo Invite.
• Oklahomas's Rupert Kaminski won the individual title with a 213.
• A total of 16 teams competed.
• Tampa was the lone Sunshine State Conference school at the tournament.
UP NEXT:
Tampa is at the Webber International Invitational on October 22-23. The three-round event will be played at Pinecrest Golf Course in Sebring, Fla.
