Tampa Swings to 10th-Place Finish at SLU Invite
Jacques Celestino leads way for Spartans.
DADE CITY, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's golf team competed to a 10th-place finish at the Saint Leo Invitational.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

- Jacques Celestino | 13th overall, 216 (E)
- Nate Kosarich | 35th overall, 225 (+9)
- Spencer Olson | 47th overall, 231 (+15)
- Robert Montagnino | 51st overall, 232 (+16)
- Alex Hellewell | 63rd overall, 238 (+22)
OTHER NOTABLES:
- Celestino and led all Spartans for the fifth time this season.
- The top round was also achieved by a consistent Celestino as he clubbed a 72 in each of the three rounds.
- Nick DiMarco was entered as an individual and finished 47th with a 231. His second-round 72 also tied Celestino for team honors.
- Hellewell also carded a 72 in the second round.
- Other individuals for head coach Rick Christie were Patrick Montagnino (232) and Noah Lee (237).
- Team champion Nova Southeastern was led by medalist Juan Jose Guerra, who shot a 201 (-15).
- A total of 12 teams competed.
- Joining UT, team champion Nova Southeastern and host Saint Leo (3rd) from the Sunshine State Conference were Eckerd (11th) and Palm Beach Atlantic (12th).
UP NEXT:
Tampa goes up against some NCAA Division I competition on March 12-13 at the Manhattan Invitational. The three-round tournament will be played at Fox Club Golf Course in Palm Bay, Fla.
