Tampa Returns to Action at Saint Leo Invite
DADE CITY, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's golf team returned to action for the first time in nearly a year, finishing 11th at the Saint Leo Invitational.

- Alex Mercier | 26th overall, 215
- Trey Fessler | 38th overall, 217
- Aadam Syed | 43rd overall, 219
- Bo Wardynski | 50th overall, 220
- Hogan Bendert | 75th overall, 226
OTHER NOTABLES:
- Mercier, a freshman from Montreal, Quebec, led all Spartans in his UT debut.
- Sophomore Syed carded the top round of the tournament for the Spartans with a first-round 69.
- Four of UT's five players in the lineup are newcomers, including three freshmen.
- Head coach Gary Hilton also registered four individuals.
- A total of 18 teams competed.
- Other SSC schools joining UT, host Saint Leo (2) and team champion Lynn included Barry (5), Nova Southeastern (7), Florida Southern (10), Palm Beach Atlantic (14) and Eckerd (17).
- Lynn's Agustin Errazuriz was the medalist with a 201, winning by four strokes.
