Gary Hilton Coaches Team to Upward Move in Standing in Round 3

LAKELAND, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's golf team competed in the Matlock Collegiate Classic at Lone Palms Golf Course, opening their spring season. UT finished in 8th place out of 15 teams with a total score of 876 (+12). The Spartans showed consistent play across the three rounds, posting scores of 294, 290, and 292.

Tournament Highlights

Tampa's top finisher, Mohit Balaji, carded a steady performance across all three rounds to finish under par at 215 (-1), placing tied for 12th individually.
Kyle Honer and Linus Landahl both shot a combined 221 (+5) to tie for 32nd, showing strong consistency in their second and third rounds.
Jonathan Garbely started strong with an opening-round 71 but fell back slightly to finish at 222 (+6), tying for 38th.
