Tampa Men's Lacrosse Begins US Tour to Promote Program
The University of Tampa Men's Lacrosse staff will begin their 2017 Summer Satellite Tour on Monday, July 28th in Dallas, TX. The coaching staff will travel to 19 different locations around the United States in hopes to promote UT.
The program consists of a day of training with the University of Tampa coaching staff. The Spartans coaching staff includes Rory Whipple, Chris Burdick, Matt Dugan, and Ryan Sullivan. Rory Whipple, the all-time winningest coach in NCAA Division II history, has headed the program since its inaugural season in 2012. Each tour day will consist of two lacrosse sessions. Athletes who participate will receive an official Tampa NCAA Final Four Prospect sublimated reversible.
The University of Tampa men's lacrosse team finished the 2017 season 15-5 after falling short in the NCAA National Semifinal. Due to the team's impressive performance on the field, and after winning four consecutive Sunshine State Conference titles, the program had four Spartans who earned USILA (United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association) All-America Honors.
