B.J. Borowski Snags SSC Defensive Player of the Week
For the first time in his collegiate career, B.J. Borowski snags Defensive Player of the Week.
TAMPA, Fla.- The Sunshine State Conference announced its men's lacrosse player of the week winners, tabbing University of Tampa goalie B.J. Borowski as the Defensive Player of the Week. Only a freshman, this is the first time that Borowski has ever received this honor.
The Frederick County, Maryland native was selected as the Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after logging nine saves in the Spartans 15-5 victory over the North Greenville University Crusaders. This season, Borowski has logged 46 saves, has a goals-against average of 8.03 and a save percentage of 56.8.
Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of February 26 - March 4, 2018. Athletes are nominated by Sports Information Directors of member institutions.
