Tampa Men's Lacrosse Earns No. 9 Ranking
In the latest USILA coaches poll, the University of Tampa falls to No. 9.
TAMPA, Fla. – In the USILA Division II Coaches poll announced on Monday, March 26th, the University of Tampa men's lacrosse program was tabbed the No. 9 best team in the nation.
After defeating the previously ranked No. 10 Belmont Abbey Crusaders on Wednesday, March 14th, by a final score of 13-12, and then the No. 16 ranked Lindenwood Lions on Saturday, March 17th, by a final score of 12-6, Tampa moved up to No. 5 in the rankings. However, after losing this past week to unranked Florida Tech 7-6, the Spartans move from No. 5 to No. 9 in the latest USILA coaches poll. UT is currently 8-2 overall, with their next conference game coming on Thursday, March 29th, against the Embry-Riddle Eagles.
In the Sunshine State Conference, Saint Leo jumped ahead of Tampa snagging the No. 8 spot. Additionally, Florida Tech moved into the poll, sitting at No. 18.
