Andrew Kew Snags Offensive Player of the Week
Andrew Kew earns SSC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after stating 10 goals and six assists last week.
TAMPA, Fla.- The Sunshine State Conference announced its men's lacrosse player of the week winners, tabbing University of Tampa attackman Andrew Kew as the Offensive Player of the Week. This marks the second time this season that Kew has received this honor.
Kew earns his second Offensive Player of the Week award this season after leading Tampa in SSC wins over Rollins College (17-5) and Palm Beach Atlantic University (27-5). The junior from Oakville, Ontario recorded four goals and three assists against the Tars while adding a pair of caused turnovers and a ground ball to his stat sheet. In the win against Palm Beach Atlantic, Kew recorded six goals and three assists as the Spartans cruised to victory. The junior attackman leads the Spartans in both goals and assists this year with 42 and 16, respectively. Tampa now moves to 12-3 overall and 4-1 in SSC play.
Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of March 4 - March 11, 2018. Athletes are nominated by Sports Information Directors of member institutions.
