Wright and Starr Earn SSC Players of the Week
MELBOURNE, Fla. - The University of Tampa's Bryan Wright and Alexander Starr have earned Sunshine State Conference Players of the week after their performances against #17 University of Mount Olive and Emmanuel College.
Wright led the Spartans to a perfect 2-0 week with wins over #17 Mount Olive and Emmanuel College. In the ranked game against Mount Olive, Wright would lead the offense as he netted five goals and would add one assist. To go along with the six points, he would collect three groundballs and would cause a turnover. In the win against Emmanuel, he would add another two goals in the blowout victory. For the week he had seven goals, two assists, and three groundballs.
Starr had a big game against the Trojans as he finished the game with nine saves, while only allowing four goals in the game. Starr would also hope the defense hold the Trojans to their lowest scoring output since the 2018 season. For the week he would average. For the week he had a .611 save percentage and picked up 11 total saves.
