Theriault Named to USILA Division II Blatant Lacrosse Team of the Week
TAMPA, Fla - University of Tampa men's lacrosse goalkeeper Connor Theriault was named to The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II Blatant Lacrosse Team of the Week. The award recognized the Spartan's goalie performance in the season-opening victory at Florida Tech.
A Mount Hermon, Massachusetts native and Brown University transfer, Theriault made an immediate and impressive impact in his first game in red and black. In his Spartan debut, he recorded nine saves with a .600 save percentage, faced 26 total shots, caused a Florida Tech turnover, and picked up a ground ball during his first 60 minutes in goal.
At Brown University, Theriault was a four-year starter, appearing in all 44 games with a career .515 save percentage and 551 total saves. Now pursuing a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship at Tampa, he has already earned several preseason accolades, including a 2025 USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American Honorable Mention, a 2025 USILA Preseason All-American Second Team, and a Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week (2/3/2025) for his performance against Florida Tech.
Tampa enters the season ranked No. 2 in the Preseason USILA Coaches Poll. The Spartans are 1-0 for the sixth straight season and will host their home opener against the Flagler Saints this Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
