Tampa and Limestone Set for Top-3 Showdown in Savannah
TAMPA, Fla. - The men's lacrosse team will travel to Savannah to face Limestone, the country's No. 3 team.
The Matchup: No. 2 University of Tampa (4-0, 0-0 SSC) vs. No. 3 Limestone (4-0, 0-0 SAC)

Series History: Although Tampa is 2-12 all-time against Limestone, the Spartans captured the last meeting between the two national powerhouses. Head Coach J.B. Clarke, while at Limestone, handed Tampa nine straight losses from 2012 to 2018 en route to his first three NCAA Division II National Championships.
About the Spartans: After their fourth straight win of the 2025 season at home against Rockhurst, the Tampa Spartans have scored 58 goals, the most so far this season in the Sunshine State Conference. USA Lacrosse Magazine Division II Player of the Week, as well as USILA Team of the Week nominee, Michael Flores has won 39 of 60 face-offs this season. Meanwhile, Connor Theriault leads the SSC with 51 saves through four games, boasting a save percentage of .630.
About the Saints: Through the first four games of their 2025 season, the Saints have scored a South Atlantic Conference-best 66 goals and recorded 39 assists. The Limestone offense is anchored by juniors Zachary Terry and Austin Lamoureux, who lead the conference with 18 and 15 goals, respectively. Three of the Saints' four wins this season have come against ranked opponents: No. 15 Florida Southern, No. 10 Indianapolis, and No. 13 Lewis.
