The Matchup: University of Tampa Spartans (3-3, 1-1 SSC) vs. Embry-Riddle University (1-3, 1-1 SSC)
Date/Time: Saturday at 7 p.m.

About the Spartans: Tampa is coming off a one-goal defeat versus Eckerd on Wednesday. Mike Schessl scored the lone goal for the Spartans in the 2-1 defeat. Schessl, a Junior from Geiersthal, Germany, has been a bright spot for the Spartans. In his two appearances this season he has a goal and an assist. Schessl served as the teams' central forward against the Tritons. The midfield served as the up-front attacking threat for Tampa without the presence of forwards Omar Thali, Till Neumann, and Juancho Fernandez due to injury. Rojay Smith leads the attack for the Spartans having scored or assisted in 4 of 6 contests. The winger has been a catalyst to the success of Tampa all season.
About the Eagles: Embry-Riddle lost in overtime on Wednesday against the 25th nationally-ranked Florida Tech Panthers. The loss ended a three-game homestand for the Eagles who will be playing their first road matchup since September, 7th. The Eagles have been involved in defensive battles all season and have a total of 8 combined goals (scored 3, conceded 5) in 4 games played. The team has struggled to create offensive chances on the season and are averaging 3.5 shots on goal per game. Tim-Fredrick Lange has been a bright spot for the Eagles this season. The Senior from Germany has started all four games this season and scored a pair of goals (both against Shorter). The Eagles have struggled with discipline this season and have amassed 12 yellow cards and 1 red card in their 4 performances. ERAU has gone 1-8 in the SSC the past two seasons under HC David Gregson.
All-Time Series: Tampa owns a convincing 6-2-2 record all-time against the Eagles. Last time the two squads faced Tampa won 3-2 (2OT) on October 10, 2018, in Daytona Beach.
