TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's soccer team is set to open the season as hosts to a pair of NCAA South Region opponents in West Florida and Auburn-Montgomery.

The Matchup: University of Tampa Spartans (0-0) vs. West Florida Argonauts (0-0)

                       University of Tampa Spartans (0-0) vs. Auburn-Montgomery Warhawks (0-0)

Date/Time: Friday, September 3 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, September 5 at 1p.m.

Location: Pepin Stadium || Tampa, Fla. || 417 North Boulevard, Tampa, Fla. 33606

About the Spartans: Tampa is set to open the season at home as a host to NCAA South Region foes West Florida and Auburn-Montgomery. The Spartans are coming off an 1-0 exhibition win against South Florida with the lone goal coming from Amgad Salah. The Spartans look to carry this momentum into this weekend's season opener.

About the Argonauts and Warhawks: Neither West Florida or Auburn-Montgomery have had a matchup this season. The Argonauts will kick off their first game against Tampa. Before the Warhawks take on Tampa they will play at Saint Leo.

All-Time Series: Tampa owns a commanding 13-5-4 lead in the all-time series vs West Florida. In the series dating back to 1990, the teams will meet for the first time since the 2019 season. Tampa has won the only meeting held between the Spartans and the Warhawks. Tampa and Auburn-Montgomery last played in 2016.

Tickets: General Admission ticket prices for all Tampa regular season athletic events are $5. Youth (ages 12 and under) are admitted free of charge. Students and faculty/staff are admitted free with a valid UT ID.
