DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The University of Tampa Spartans won in a double-overtime match for its sixth-straight win of the season, coming against Embry-Riddle University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: The two teams proved to be evenly matched in the first half. 12 fouls and a yellow card were administered. A shot by Travis Foster (8') and Albert Morales (22') were blocked by the Eagle's keeper. With seconds to spare in the half Adam Forster stopped the first shot attempted by the Eagles. The half ended 0-0.
SECOND HALF: The next half saw the Spartans eager to make something happen with three shots, one by Juancho Fernandez (52') who hit post and two by Omar Thali (53') and Sean Quinn (64') who were denied by the goalie. Fernandez had another shot on goal (80') and Forster recorded another save (81') The half ended with both teams scoreless entering overtime.
1st Overtime
No scoring attempts were made by either team.
2nd Overtime
Tampa's attack charged on with a shot on goal by Thali. A corner kick by Thali gave the ball to Cody Wells, who scored his first goal of the season (108'), securing the win for Tampa.
