Spartans Fall to #25 Panthers on the Road.

MELBOURNE, FLA. – The University of Tampa men's soccer team falls to ranked conference foe on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

FIRST HALF: The game began with the Spartans dominating the possession early, recording the first shot of the match. Late in the seventh minute of the match, Daffa Taylor set up a header for teammate Pablo Marques who buried it in the net, earning Tampa a one goal lead. Goalkeeper Salvador Ribera made a couple late saves to keep the Spartans ahead of the Panthers by one headed into the half.

Score: 1-0 Tampa

SECOND HALF: The second half opened with the Marques netting another early goal to build a two-goal lead for Tampa. The Panthers netted their first of the match in the 53^rd minute to cut the Spartans' lead in half. Florida Tech tied the matchup at two in the 63^rd minute. In the 87^th minute, the Panthers netted one more to steal the game.

Final: 3-2 Florida Tech

INSIDE THE STATS:
