HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: The game began with the Spartans dominating the possession early, recording the first shot of the match. Late in the seventh minute of the match, Daffa Taylor set up a header for teammate Pablo Marques who buried it in the net, earning Tampa a one goal lead. Goalkeeper Salvador Ribera made a couple late saves to keep the Spartans ahead of the Panthers by one headed into the half.
Score: 1-0 Tampa
SECOND HALF: The second half opened with the Marques netting another early goal to build a two-goal lead for Tampa. The Panthers netted their first of the match in the 53rd minute to cut the Spartans' lead in half. Florida Tech tied the matchup at two in the 63rd minute. In the 87th minute, the Panthers netted one more to steal the game.
Final: 3-2 Florida Tech
INSIDE THE STATS:
