Wright State Defeats Tampa In Return To Competition
TAMPA, Fla. - After nearly a month without a meet, The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams were defeated by NCAA Division I opponent Wright State University on Saturday. The Spartan men fell 63-25 as the women lost 54-36.
Both the UT men's and women's teams won a relay race, with the women placing first in the 300 Breast Relay. The team of Lisa Bero, Michelle Walcker and Alex Hipolito won in 3:27.05.
Tampa's men championed the 400 Free Relay, with Jason Khoury, Jeff Fiore, Jordan Nowakowski and Justin Waterman posting a time of 3:25.03.
Tampa is back in action at the three-day Nova Southeastern Invite from Dec. 17-19 in Fort Lauderdale.
