Tampa Places Pair of Men's Swimmers on All-SSC Team
Tommy Reminger became an all-SSC selection for the second straight year.
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Nineteen student-athletes have been selected to the 2016-17 All-SSC Men's Swimming Team. Voting for the team was conducted among the Sunshine State Conference men's swimming coaches.
The University of Tampa had two swimmers named all-conference, including Tommy Reminger and Sean Rodney. Reminger, a junior, is now a two-time all-SSC selection while Rodney earns the honors following his freshman campaign.
Nova Southeastern University, the 2017 SSC Men's Champions, boast five First Team honorees. Florida Southern College leads the way with eight student-athletes awarded. Florida Tech and the University of Tampa were also represented in the league awards this year.

Marco Aldabe (Nova Southeastern) highlights the repeat All-SSC winners this season. Aldabe earns All-SSC first team accolades for a fourth consecutive year. He joins Luis Rojas of Florida Southern (11-12 - 14-15) as the only four-time First Team All-SSC award winners.
Blake Woodrow (Nova Southeastern) is honored as First Team All-SSC for the third straight year. Thiago Sickert (Nova Southeastern) and Matthew Holmes (Florida Southern) repeat as first team members from last year. NSU's Anton Lobanov and Franco Lupoli join FSC's Luka Planinc and Florida Tech's Victor Rocha Furtado in rounding out the First Team.
Coach of the Year, Swimmer of the Year, and Freshman of the Year will be voted on by league coaches following the NCAA Division II championship. This year's NCAA Championships takes place March 8th - 11th at CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama. For a full list of SSC qualifiers, click here.
