Aaron James Named SSC Swimmer of the Week
Junior was UT's top swimmer for pair of meets.
MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa swimmer Aaron James was honored as the Sunshine State Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week.
The junior from Crozet, Va., is named Swimmer of the Week after leading Tampa against Indian River State College and at home in the Tampa Relays. Against IRSC, the junior won the 200 Medley Relay as the team finished with a time of 1:32.55. James won both the 50 Free and 100 Free in respective times of 20.99 and 46.58. At the Tampa Relays, James won the 500 Crescendo (4:19.73), 400 Medley (3:33.17), and the 400 Free (3:12.50).
Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of December 31, 2018 - January 6, 2019. Athletes are nominated by Sports Information Directors of member institutions.
