Matthew Holmes of Florida Southern repeats as a First Team selection for the fourth consecutive year. Holmes is the third SSC men's swimmer to earn the award four times, joining Luis Rojas (Florida Southern, 2012 - 15) and Marco Aldabe (Nova Southeastern, 2012-15). Also repeating as a First Team member is Victor Rocha Furtado from Florida Tech, who earns the accolades for a third straight year.
FSC's Luka Planinc finds his way back to the First Team after earning the same accolades in 2016-17. His teammates Matias Lopez and Brandon Dyck make the jump to the First Team from Second Team accolades a year ago. Tampa's Luke Hene and Brett Saunders along with NSU's Vincent Lijoi round out this year's First Team selections. The Spartans also had Cameron Newton and Brian Valedon on the second team.
Coach of the Year, Swimmer of the Year, and Freshman of the Year will be voted on by league coaches following the NCAA Division II championship. This year's NCAA Championships are March 13 - 16 at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana. For a full list of SSC qualifiers, click here.
