Complete Team Effort Leads Spartans at FSU Invite

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's cross country team ran to an eighth-place finish at the men's garnet 8K of the Florida State Invitational on Friday morning.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- Each of the Spartan participants established new personal bests.
- Alexander was the fastest UT runner for the second time this season, and first since the season-opener.
- Head coach Dror Vaknin registered 12 runners in the event.
- Osman Humeida of Florida Gulf Coast was the top individual, registering a time of 24:23.8.
- Also representing the Sunshine State Conference was Embry-Riddle (3), Saint Leo (7), Palm Beach Atlantic (15) and Florida Tech (30).
- Several power five schools competed in the event, with Florida State finishing second overall. UT finished ahead of Miami (9) while LSU was fifth overall.
