HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The majority of the game was a pitching duel between Tampa's Gwen McGinnis and Mississippi College's Camryn Bailey, who kept the score tied until the 6th inning.
- With bases loaded in the top of the 6th the Choctaws took the lead after Kamryn Eaton doubled toward center field, driving in three runners for Mississippi College.
- The Spartans fought until the last pitch, however were unable to overcome the Choctaws defence in their last two innings at-bat.
