Denise Rubio is in her 30th season as an assistant coach as she has served as Leslie Kanter’s top assistant throughout her time at the helm.

Rubio was a four-year starter at second base for the University of South Florida, where she also earned Academic All-America honors in 1986. At USF, she was a three-time all-South Region player from 1986-1988.

She was also a member of the World Series Championship Team for Wellswood Little League in 1978, 1982, and 1983.

In 2005, Rubio was recognized by her alma mater when she was inducted into the USF Hall of Fame. Denise also works at Allstate Insurance Company as a Market Claim Manager.
