Spartans Host Eagles for Senior Day Competition
The University of Tampa Spartans will honor their seniors in the final home game of the season.
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's basketball team will host the Embry-Riddle Eagles Saturday, February 17th. The women will take the court at 2:00 pm.
The Matchup: University of Tampa (17-7, 10-7 SSC) vs. Embry-Riddle (18-6, 12-5 SSC)

Last Time Out: The Spartans traveled to Palm Beach Atlantic University and came out on top winning with the score 67-52. Emily Eshoo led the offense with 15 points for the Spartans. Staja Tyghter led the defensive efforts for UT with 10 rebounds and was the second leading point scorer with 13 points. Rachel Warden led the Spartans in assists with five. As a team the Spartans shot 50.9 percent from the field and collected 44 rebounds.
About the Spartans: The Spartans are led offensively by Tyghter who is averaging 12.3 points per game. She is followed by senior Jeremie and sophomore Warden with 11.1 and 9.3. As a team, the Spartans are averaging 62 points per game while shooting 45.8 percent from the field.
About the Eagles: Tara Fields leads Embry-Riddle with 361 points averaging 15.7 per game. She is followed by Sabrina Whiting who is averaging 11.5 points per game. As a team, the Eagles are averaging 66.6 points per game, 32.8 rebounds per game, shooting 45 percent from the field and 73.8 from the free throw line.

Tickets: Tickets for are $5 for adults, senior citizens, and coaches. Children under 12 will be admitted free. UT students, faculty and staff will be admitted free with a valid student ID.
