Terri Battle Named SSC Player of the Week

MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa women's basketball player Terri Battle was recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Battle closed out Tampa's 2020-21 season with 20 points and 12 rebounds against Florida Tech. The Chicago native poured in a game-high 20 points by shooting 7-of-10 from the field and 6-of-8 from the line. Battle tallied nine defensive and three offensive rebounds, totaling a game-high 12 boards. She also provided the Spartans with three assists in the win.

Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of March 8 - 14, 2021. Athletes are nominated by Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions.
