Week 1 Recap

  • Last week, Tampa opened the season with the South Region Crossover Tournament. The No. 17 Spartans won both games to finish a perfect 2-0 to begin the 2022-2023 season.

No. 17 Tampa

  • The Spartans opened the season on Friday with a 77-47 victory over Spring Hill, where both Sydney Kin and Audrey Ramsey recorded 14 points. On Saturday, Tampa defeated West Georgia 69-55 to complete the tournament. Kin lead the team in points in this game, with 21. After her stellar weekend, Kin earned Player of the Week honors.

Fort Valley State

  • The Wildcats are eager to take the court to begin their season, after both of their games at Florida Tech were cancelled last weekend.

Barry

  • The Buccaneers started their season on Friday with an 85-47 win over Shorter University. Barry fell to the Christian Brothers on Saturday, and are looking to redeem themselves against Clayton State on Monday.
