Kiira Riihijarvi Ascends to Nation's Top Player

TAMPA, Fla. - University of Tampa junior women's golfer Kiira Riihijarvi is now listed as the No. 1 player in the nation in the current Golfstat NCAA Division II individual rankings.
A junior from Oulu, Finland, Riihijarvi has led the UT women's golf program to new heights as the two-time All-American now leads a team that also appears in the national rankings at No. 21 in the latest WGCA Coaches Poll.
Through three fall events, she has posted two individual championships, winning both the RMAC Fall Preview and the Saint Leo Invitational. Her other appearance was an 11th-place showing at the Shark Invitational. In seven rounds, she carries an average of 70.71 strokes per round. She is also -1 to par, recording a school-record 63 at the RMAC Fall Preview.
