SSC Recognizes Kiira Riihijarvi as Golfer of the Week
Junior receives second league honor this fall.
MELBOURNE, Fla. - For the second time this fall, University of Tampa women's golfer Kiira Riihijarvi has been tabbed as the Sunshine State Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.
Athletes of the Week were chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of October 29 - November 4, 2018. Athletes are nominated by Sports Information Directors of member institutions.
Riihijarvi grabs her second Golfer of the Week honor this season with a first-place finish at the Jekyll-O-Lantern Intercollegiate Tournament. The Finn had a two-round score of 1-under, 143 (70-73) to win the title, marking the third individual title for her this season. The first-place finish is the fifth of Riihijarvi's three-year collegiate career and helped her team to a second-place finish at this week's tournament.
