TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 1 University of Tampa Spartans delivered another commanding performance, defeating No. 8 Pace 17-8 in their final non-conference matchup of the regular season.
How It Happened
• Tampa held a 4-2 advantage after the first quarter.
• The Spartans led 7-4 at halftime as six different players found the back of the net.
• Both teams nearly doubled their scores in the third quarter, bringing the game to 13-8.
• Nine different Spartans scored in the game.
• With the help of Lexi Waters' game-high eight draw controls, Tampa won the draw battle 19-9.
• Savvy Barbosa earned her fifth win of the season, making nine saves on 17 shots.
• Tampa scored four more times in the final quarter while holding Pace scoreless.
• Pace committed eight straight penalties in the second and third quarters.
• The Spartans secured their fourth consecutive win over a nationally ranked opponent and sixth of the season.

• Peyton Howell continued her hot streak, recording her fifth straight game with five goals.
• Grace Lichtenberger scored her second goal of the season and first as a Spartan.
• Maddie Szyluk extended her scoring streak to six straight games, netting two goals.
• Howell, Sia Markowski, and Waters each collected a game-high three ground balls.
• Audrey Wisdom scored the first goal of the day and her third of the season.
• Erin McLoughlin and Markowski each recorded two caused turnovers.
