TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa crew club has announced that its practices will begin on the week of September 6, at the UT Boathouse.
Practices will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m., from Monday through Friday. Those interested do not need to do anything in advance. Please wear shorts, a t-shirt and athletic shoes as the practice will conclude by 5:30 p.m.
No previous rowing experience is needed. The crew club serves as a way for beginners to learn the intercollegiate sport of rowing.
Those with no previous rowing experience will need to participate in the club before trying out for the intercollegiate team.
Tryouts for the women's varsity intercollegiate team and the men's competitive crew club will occur in late October.
Details regarding requirements for these tryouts will be posted at a later date.
