Tampa’s Peffley Garners Daktronics All-South Region Team Honors
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - One of University of Tampa women's soccer players was represented among 28 student-athletes from various institutions to make up the 2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II South Regional team. UT's Courtney Peffley was selected with such honors garnering a spot on the second team.
Peffley, a midfielder out of Rheems, Pa. currently leads the team in both assist (13) and points (17). Daughter of Amy Peffley, the sophomore netted two goals this year with one of them registering as a game-winner. Guiding her team to a Sunshine State Conference tournament championship, the five-foot-ten Spartan has already been tabbed as a second team all-SCC candidate and has notched an overall season record of 16-5-1. Helping limit her opponents to just 17 goals and aiding in the connection of 42 Tampa scores, the midfielder is well deserving of such recognition.
Voting for the 2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II South Region Women's Soccer Team was powered by UT partner ATHLETICSITE.COM and voted on by the regional members of D2-SIDA.
