WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's soccer team clashed with Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday night, however the match ended in a scoreless draw after 110 minutes. It was the first scoreless draw of the season for the women's squad. 

INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

Location: PBA Soccer Complex || West Palm Beach, Fla.

All-time Series: Tampa leads 13-1-1; Prior to this evening, UT had won the previous 12 meetings. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

1st Half | Both teams registered two corner kicks in the first half, while the Spartans ripped off six shots. Nastasia Asgedom had two shots blocked by the PBA defense. 

2nd Half | Tampa laced ten shots in total, five on target, however Madison Chiola recorded all five saves. Kianna Magner received a yellow card in the 63rd minute for the Sailfish. In the 74th minute, Megan Bromwell recorded a save on a messy play in front of the net but hobbled off the field following a collision. The Spartans racked up eight corner kicks in the second half compared to PBA's three corners.

Extra-Time | Lovisa Camel took over goal-keeping duties in extra time however did not have any save opportunities. Tampa tallied four shots, in total, in the two ten minute periods. 

INSIDE THE STATS:

  • Chiola recorded six saves on Tampa's 20 total shots.
  • Asgedom led with a game-high six shots, three on target. 
  • Five starters played the entire match, including both extra time periods. 

UP NEXT: The University of Tampa welcomes Florida National to Pepin Stadium for a rare non-conference dual on Wednesday evening, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
