LAKELAND, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's soccer team rallied in the second half to defeat Florida Southern 3-2 on Saturday evening. Moeko Morse tallied two goals, including the game-winner in the 82nd minute, to become the team's leading goal-scorer with six on the season. The Spartans unbeaten streak extends to five games, with four wins and one draw.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
1st Half |
Megan Bromwell started in net and logged three saves in the first half on Florida Southern's five total shots. Freshman defender
Quinn Knapp laced two shots in the half which led both teams.
2nd Half | In the 52nd minute,
Morse tapped in her fifth goal of the season. Florida Southern fought back with a flurry of two goals in five minutes to grab the 2-1 lead in the 60th minute.
Syd Griner created space down the right side of the field, cut back towards the box and slotted a goal into the lower left corner. The goal was
Griner's first of the season, and the second career goal for the junior.
Morse gave Tampa the 3-2 lead in the 82nd minute as she dribbled around two defenders and slotted her sixth goal of the year. The Spartans pressured the Moccasin defense with 10 shots in the second half.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Nastasia Asgedom registered the assist on Morse's first goal, and was charged with a yellow card in the 87th minute.
- It was the second multi-goal match for Morse this season. She ranks third in the SSC with six goals scored.
- This was the first victory of the season in which the Spartans erased a second-half deficit.
