HOW IT HAPPENED:
1st Half | In the 15th minute, Lacy Nasello found some space outside the box and made contact with a bouncing ball for the first shot on target for the Spartans. Shortly after the UT attack, Rollins' Meghan Mosley put the pressure on Tampa with a shot that almost grazed the cross-bar. Alexa Sheridan had an opportunity towards the end of the half as Nastasia Asgedom raced up the left sideline and put a cross in front of the net, however Sheridan tapped it wide of the net.
2nd Half | Quinn Knapp tallied two shots on target in the second half, but Rollins goal-keeper Kelly Rowswell corralled the Tampa opportunities. Lisa Caprara had a chance late in the half on a through-ball with one defender to beat, however Caprara was tracked down by the defender in the box to spoil the moment. The Spartans were determined on defense as they allowed no shots in the half, in comparison to Tampa's six offensive shots.
