Nastasia Asgedom Named to All-Region Team
Four-year letterwinner led Spartans to seven-win season.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - University of Tampa senior midfielder Nastasia Asgedom was honored as a second-team selection on the Conference Commissioner's Association (CCA) All-South Region team.
Asgedom, a four-year letterwinner from Tampa, registered two goals and six assists in her senior season. Also a first-team selection on the All-Sunshine State Conference team, Asgedom played in 65 career games. Starting all 65 games played, she totaled 15 goals and 17 assists. She also accounted for seven game-winning goals in her Spartan career, ranking eighth in program history. She ranks ninth in school history in assists, third in penalty kicks made (3) and eighth in shots on goal (65).
The team is sponsored by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
