Spartans Return Home for Tritons
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's soccer team will continue conference play against Eckerd College.
The Matchup: Tampa Spartans (2-2-1, 1-0 SSC) vs. Eckerd Tritons (3-0-1, 1-0 SSC)

About the Spartans: The Spartans started off conference play last week with an impressive 5-1 win over Barry. The Spartans applying pressure on the Buccaneers from kick-off, netting four goals in the first half; Scoring a lone goal later in the second. Stephanie DeLaforcade registered a strong six-point outing with two goals and two assists. Also scoring for the Spartans were Madison McElhone, Alex Steigelfest, and Katherine Hostage. Steigelfest's goal is the first of her career. Spartans goalkeeper and SSC Defensive Player of the Week, Lovisa Camel, faced six shots on goal and documented five saves.
About the Tritons: The Tritons defeated the Lynn Fighting Knights 4-3 in their first SSC match-up last week. Tariah Miller, Katarina Papageorgiou, Sierra Hudson, and Kaia Senecal scoring for the Tritons, Senecal earning SSC Offensive Player of the Week for her performance. Goalkeeper Candence Talbert recorded ten saves in the match-up.
All-Time Series: Spartans dominate the series over the Tritons 24-3-1 and are currently on a seven-game win streak. The last meeting against the Tritons was on the road in September of the 2019-20 season, Spartans winning 2-0.
Tickets: General Admission ticket prices for all Tampa regular season athletic events are $5. Youth (ages 12 and under) are admitted free of charge. Students and faculty/staff are admitted free with a valid UT ID.
