HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: The Spartans came out of the tunnel with one goal on their mind, to win. Their aggression progressed and even got a little out of hand, drawing numerous fouls. Ultimately, this urgency would benefit the Spartans early as the Spartans pushed the ball up the pitch allowing a difficult shot by Hannah Kirkpatrick to execute (26'). But the Lions roared back instantly in the 30th minute with a beautiful goal from Raylyn Straubmuller. Score: 1-1
SECOND HALF: Continuing with that same tenacious mindset, Kirkpatrick proceeded to score another goal in the 66th minute to put the Spartans over Saint Leo. Score: 2-1 (Tampa)
