Spartans Draw at Home to Lynn in Close Affair
TAMPA, FL. – The University of Tampa women's soccer team would draw Lynn University in a hard fought matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: The Spartans would make an instant impact on the game, when Sophie Shrader would strike the ball from outside the box into the bottom corner to give Tampa the lead. Shrader would double the lead for Tampa later on in the 30th minute, after Katherine Hostage would draw the penalty. Lynn would cut the Spartans lead in half after a corner kick found a Lynn player's head in the box to put Lynn back in the game. Score: 2-1 Tampa
SECOND HALF: Both teams would go back and forth throughout the beginning of the first half. Lynn would break through however, after a shot saved by Megan Hessel would rebound to an open Lynn player for a tap-in. Each team would fight to take the lead as they would battle towards the later stages of the game, both would come up just short in an even matchup between each side.
