Indian River Defeats Tampa In Swimming Action
FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Indian River State College notched a pair of victories over The University in swimming action, topping UT by scores of 144-118 (women) and 146-114 (men).
The Spartan women had four individuals medal, including Ellie Eshleman in the 100 Back (59.51). Emilee Margiotta (200 Fly, 2:10.48), Amy O'Brien (100 Fly, 59.20) and Kelsey Lubbers (200 IM, 2:13.39) also won races for Tampa.
In men's action, Chris O'Linger (200 Fly, 1:53.83) and Roman Sereda (200 IM, 1:56.22) each notched victories for UT. The Spartans also had a victory from the 200 Free Relay team of David Humphrey, Felipe Manzo, Blaine Bess and Michael Verdi (1:26.00).
UT returns to action on Wed., Feb. 17 at the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships in Charlotte, N.C. The championships will last through Feb. 20.
